Driving a whole family around can get tiring, so the Suburban is outfitted with lots of driver and passenger conveniences and comforts. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and features mounted audio and cruise controls, so you can change the station or set cruise control without taking your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road. You can also view the 4.2-inch driver information center, full of pertinent vehicle information and set into the dash in front of you. A three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM All Access is included with your new Suburban. HD Radio is also standard, so you can reach lots of channels anywhere on the road. If you want to stream your favorite playlist or show from the car, you’re covered for three months — Chevrolet provides the Suburban with an OnStar guidance system with a trial of 4G LTE Wifi. The OnStar Basic Plan comes included for five years, and includes connectivity functions and vehicle diagnostics.
To cut down on glare and overheating on sunny days, all the rear windows have Solar-Ray deep-tinted glass. For rainy days, the Suburban is equipped with Rainsense intermittent front wipers that start automatically when they sense water. There’s also a hidden rear wiper, which you can turn on to wash water or dust off the rear window.
For easy access to the cargo space behind the seats, the Suburban comes standard with a motion-sensing power liftgate. Simply sweep your foot under the back and watch it open. There are black assist steps located on both sides of the Suburban under both front and rear doors. They have rugged, slip-resistant tread pads to help you hop into the Suburban even after a muddy soccer game. Every model comes with a standard rear vision camera to help you back out of parking spaces safely, and the Premier model includes more safety alert features like side blind zone alert and lane change alert.
