The 2016 Chevrolet Spark Matured

The exterior styling of the new 2016 Chevrolet Spark is much more mature-looking than the current model year. The car now sits about 1.6 inches lower than its predecessor and the wheelbase has been slightly increased. Chevrolet has continued their dual grille front-end design language in the Spark to more strongly identify with the brand. Huge bulbous lights be gone! The new 2016 Chevrolet Spark has much more distinguished elliptical headlamps for a much sleeker appearance. With a lower roof-line and well-proportioned details, the 2016 Chevrolet Spark takes a major step up in the looks department.

Inside the car, seating has been improved with higher-quality fabrics and higher-density seat foam for improve durability and comfort. Tech-features in the 2016 Chevrolet Spark are upgraded with an all-new instrument panel design and Chevrolet MyLink center stack for infotainment and climate controls. Just like the current Spark, Chevrolet is continuing their color-matched interior trimmings. The 2016 Chevrolet Spark will also be available with 4G LTE Wi-Fi broadcasting.

All-New Engine

The 2016 Chevrolet Spark will be powered by an all-new 1.4L EcoTec engine that puts out 98 horsepower. That’s a 16 percent increase in power over the present model. Don’t let the horsepower fool you. In a car as small as the Chevy Spark, 98 horsepower offers great drivability and stunning fuel efficiency. The Chevrolet engineers had many design targets in mind when they developed this all-new engine. In addition to power and efficiency, engineers made a huge effort to reduce noise and vibration.

Bigger Safety, Smaller Package

The 2016 Chevrolet Spark offers exceptional safety, similar to the outgoing 2015 model year. For 2015, the Chevrolet Spark was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. For 2016, the Chevy Spark builds on that reputation with a stronger body structure, 10 standard airbags and new active safety features. The new active safety features available on the 2016 Chevrolet Spark include Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Side Blind Spot Alert. A rear-vision camera system is standard and rear park assist is going to be available for the new model year.
