The 2017 Camaro isn’t a stripped-down track car, either. It’s made for a comfortable yet gutsy ride, and equipped with modern technology. You get a SiriusXM Satellite Radio with the subscription included for 12 months. It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. A wireless smartphone charger is available, as is a heated steering wheel. You can even get 4G Wifi that will connect to seven devices. It also offers the myChevrolet mobile app for your compatible smartphone, that lets you start/stop your engine and lock/unlock your doors from your phone. You can send navigation directions from your phone to your Camaro, as well, and even set yourself a parking reminder.
The 2017 Camaro is available as a coupe or a convertible configuration. As part of its modern upgrades, the convertible has modular underbody bracing that gives it the same sharp, nimble handling as the coupe. The soft top is fully automatic, and disappears seamlessly even at speeds up to 30 mph. You might choose the convertible just so you can properly hear the roar from the dual-mode quad-outlet exhaust. The Camaro’s electric valve system automatically opens and closes the active exhaust, so you get peak performance at high speed and also an aggressive growl when you’re idling.
The Red Line and 50th Anniversary Edition packages offer more features and attitude to your Camaro. Chevrolet’s Red Line sport appearance package enhances the lean, muscular look of the Camaro with red accents all over the 20-inch black wheels, lowered grille, black Camaro fender badge, and fender hash marks. The 50th Anniversary edition also promotes the performance-inspired look that the Camaro’s legacy is built on. This edition features an exclusive exterior color, a unique grille with satin chrome accents, a body-colored front splitter, and a unique black leather interior with suede inserts and orange accent stitching to match the orange brake calipers. It also has distinct treatments on the instrument panel, seat backs, steering wheel, and illuminated sill plates. If you’re looking for a distinguished legacy look for your 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, the Red Line and 50th Anniversary packages will set you apart from the rest.
The Camaro has been engineered for performance perfection for fifty years. This sixth generation of the classic car has new technology to keep pushing the envelope. It offers either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, which includes a remote starter system. Lightweight aluminum makes up all of the wheel options and the suspension components to improve the Camaro’s handling. Overall, the 2017 Camaro is 390 lbs. lighter than fifth-generation models. Yet is also has a 28% increase in structural rigidity, for more nimble, balanced handling and precise steering. This design leads to an incredibly stable and confident driving experience. The chassis is reassuringly predictable. This is a performance-oriented car that invites even a novice to open up the taps. It handles supremely well, so despite its brash appearance, it’s a pleasure to drive.
The Camaro’s track performance has been honed to perfection in the Camaro ZL1. Its design is crafted for aerodynamics, to create downforce and reduce lift in all the right places to maintain its high performance from the first lap to the last. The Camaro SS gets its runaway power from the massive 455hp 6.2L V8 Direct Injection engine, and the ZL1 has the supercharged version that produces 650 hp. The ZL1 will also offer a 10-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, as of early 2017. It’s also equipped with modern tech that maximizes your driving fun and minimizes your lap times. The magnetic ride control suspension system reads road conditions and adjusts your suspension automatically. The standard wheels are 20-inch forged aluminum wrapped in exclusive tires that are perfect for the track. The eLSD system now helps you shave time from your laps by providing better high-speed stability to improve your turn-in response and corner exit speeds.
The most extreme Camaro is coming soon. This summer, you’ll be able to equip the 2018 ZL1 with the 1LE Track Package for the ultimate Camaro. It flaunts a one-piece exposed weave carbon fiber wing, integrated front dive planes, an adjustable rear stabilizer bar, and exclusive Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires — just to name a few things. With the supercharged 3.6L LT4V8 engine, this will be the most track-focused Camaro you can get your hands on.

The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro is a refined sort of maniac, so the interior is designed for comfort even as you’re tearing up the tires. The bucket seats and central console layout were designed for comfort and the best driver ergonomics, so you’re not crammed into your seat and you’re not constantly bumping into the bolsters when you steer or shift. The seats have available heating and ventilation for extra comfort, which are standard features on some trims. But even the standard seats have side bolsters that are designed to provide support and keep you in place when you’re experiencing g-force in the corners.
It’s surprisingly comfortable over long drives, too. The interior is made from premium materials, and has some noise-dampening technology that keeps the sounds of the road under 75 decibels at 70 mph. Don’t worry, you’ll still get a great rumble from this car, and you can even tune the sound with your Driver Mode Selector. You’ll just also be able to hear your music on your morning commute. There’s also air conditioning and a power outlet and an eight-way power seat adjuster for the driver’s seat. You’ll have two convenient cupholders and a leather-wrapped shift knob to make your commute both stylish and comfortable. There’s also an eight-inch touch-screen radio and infotainment display. For extra flash, the Camaro offers an available interior spectrum lighting on the 2LT, and features it standard on the 2SS. The driver can select one of 24 colors to line the radio, door trim, and cup holders for a cool ambient glow. The color spectrum will react to changes in drive mode, or you can pick “show mode” for a full-color light show.
