2016 Cadillac CT6
As they make an attempt to redefine their brand, Cadillac is shattering headlines with the introduction of the new 2016 Cadillac CT6. Competing against the German luxury brands BMW, Audi, and Mercedes, the Cadillac CT6 seeks to re-infuse the upper echelon of automobiles with newfound levels of performance and luxury.
Available with a 3.0L Twin Turbo V6, the CT6 propels right alongside the rest the competition. However, thanks to a liberal use of smart materials and clever engineering, the Cadillac CT6 comes in hundreds of pounds lighter than the German competitors while maintaining similar physical dimensions.
Inside, the CT6 is cleanly decorated in new technology and fine materials. The CT6 is the first automobile to feature the new Bose Panaray sound system with 34 speakers located inside the cabin. A rear-facing camera streams video to the rear-view mirror under normal operation for a crystal clear and unobstructed view of what’s behind you.

Cadillac CT6 Performance
One the entry level, the 2016 Cadillac CT6 is equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 265 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Don’t let the term entry level fool you though. The Cadillac CT6 comes in nearly 1000 pounds under the weight of comparable BMWs and Mercedes-Benz. This thing has no problem propelling the CT6 into preposterous speeds. This engine features direct injection, dual overhead camshafts, and variable valve timing for maximum performance. Fuel efficiency numbers have yet to be released from Cadillac or the EPA, but there’s no reason to expect anything short of excellence.
The next step up in power is a naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine that puts out 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6L V6 engine in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 features direct injection, dual overhead camshafts, cylinder deactivation and automatic stop/start technology. There are currently no officially published fuel efficiency numbers on this engine option. Stay tuned for more information as it is released.
For those looking for the ultimate in performance and luxury, Cadillac is offering the 2016 Cadillac CT6 with a powerful 3.0L twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engine. With 404 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque on tap, you’re going to need to exercise some personal responsibility. Just like the other two engines in the CT6 lineup, the 3.0L twin-turbo V6 features dual overhead camshafts, variable valve timing, direct injection, and automatic stop/start technology. This engine is also the first of its kind to offer turbocharging and cylinder deactivation.
3.6L V6 Engine
3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 Engine
The 2016 Cadillac CT6 was engineered for agility. With massive weight cuts compared to its competitors and an advanced chassis, the CT6 is shockingly nimble. The CT6 is available with magnetic ride control and 4-wheel steering. The Active Chassis System in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 monitors each wheel for bumps and continuously adjusts the suspension to maintain a smooth ride. For those in cooler climates, the all-wheel-drive system available on the CT6 allows for expert handling in all conditions. Keep your new car on the road and in control, especially in inclement weather.
Cadillac CT6 Safety
